WHO

WHO acts as a pivotal organization in global health governance, with the objectives to work toward equitable access to medicines while building a better platform for medical innovation. Currently there is a double-down debate about drug pricing, patents and corporate influences, which have all emerged for concern on the affordability and accessibility of life-saving treatments. This committee would like delegates to discuss the ever-increasing power of pharmaceutical companies and some specific issues this creates for our international society.

Agenda Item: The role of governments in regulating big pharmaceutical companies

Under-Secretary General: Cihan Mert Sürücü

Academic Assistant: Gözde Ümit
